Young, headstrong and dangerously effective in the ring, Hook has developed into a bona fide assassin since debuting on the 8 December 2021 edition of AEW Rampage.

At times he seems as angry and voracious as his legendary father, Taz. Other times he comes off cooler than the other side of the pillow, indifferent to everyone and everything around him.

Hook’s Teddy Roosevelt-like approach to professional wrestling seems to be the winning formula for building stars in the 2020s, though it must be said walking softly and carrying a big bag of chips work wonders when you are able to decimate your opponents the way Hook is.

Whenever the situation involving himself, Danhausen, ‘Smart’ Mark Sterling and his client, ‘The Premier Athlete’ Tony Nese finally resolves, who is to say Hook doesn’t get the itch to put some gold around his waist?

As popular as ‘The Cold-Hearted Handsome Devil’ is with AEW’s fanbase, a run as TNT Champion would rehabilitate the title and further solidify Hook as a star in one fell swoop.
