10 AEW Wrestlers Tony Khan Has Totally Wasted

5. Keith Lee

Practically the entire wrestling fanbase palmed their foreheads collectively when Vinnie Mac unleashed Keith 'Bearcat' Lee on the world in the summer of 2021. This obscure homage to 1950s/60s wrestler Bearcat Wright failed to hit with the WWE audience, which anybody with even a lick of sense could've predicted.

Not to worry though, right? All Elite Wrestling would rescue Lee's career and return him to big man greatness by showcasing Keith's stunning athleticism and well-spoken nature. Or...not. Lee was stuck in a tag-team alongside fellow WWE alumni Swerve Strickland soon after arriving in AEW, and he's been a tag guy ever since.

Thrown-together duos for the sake of it - hmm, you've heard that one before!

Keith Lee had a ton of buzz when he signed with AEW. Fans really wanted to see him do well and be booked as a top guy, but he hasn't been (not yet anyway). This is what happens when your roster is overcrowded.
