Jokes aside, Brian Cage has made a major impact since his debut at Double or Nothing and winning the Casino Ladder Match to get a shot at the AEW Championship. Sure, it was definitely too soon to put the title onto him when he faced off against Moxley but it shouldn't mean he never gets a run with the belt.
Since then he's been wrapped up in a feud between Cody Rhodes and Darby Allin, being a founding member of Team Taz. His agility for a man that muscular is insane, especially considering him having a bicep tear that delayed his debut in All Elite Wrestling. Having a mouthpiece like Taz sets him up to be their version of Brock Lesnar with his own Paul Heyman.
Beating someone high profile to win the title is always the best way to introduce someone into the main event scene, but Cage is a different kind of beast. No matter who he defeats to become champion, his welcome into that mountain top will be met with praise. He is just that good and his potential to be a cornerstone is unmatched as well.
