10 All-Time Craziest Wrestling Match Stipulations

7. Chamber Of Horrors

WCW in 1991 was a crazy place, so it should be no surprise that one of the craziest match stipulations of all time came from the era. The one and only (hmmm, I'm sensing a pattern) Chamber of Horrors match was fraught with confusion even before it began -- advertised competitor One Man Gang quit the company before Halloween Havoc 1991, and Vader and Cactus Jack were eleventh-hour additions to the contest. In the end, we got Sting, El Gigante, and The Steiner Brothers versus Vader, Jack, Abdullah the Butcher, and The Diamond Studd (Scott Hall). We also got a complete trainwreck. As the match began, an electric chair lowered into the cage (of course there was a cage) and the announcement was made that the winning team would be the one who could place a member of the opposite team in the chair, then pull the lever. What followed was a surreal brawl where zombies and demons got involved and where the switch for the chair repeatedly fell to the "on" position. In the end, Rick Steiner was brought near the chair. Cactus Jack went to pull the switch, but at the last second, Steiner grabbed Abdullah and switched places with him. Jack pulled the switch and electrocuted his own man, finishing the match (and presumably, Abdullah the Butcher) for the babyfaces. All in all, it was a true Halloween nightmare.
