5. The Award For The Wrestler Who Most Needed To Log Off

In a profound note of irony, ahead of his match at ROH Final Battle, Dax Harwood remonstrated with a ringside fan for looking at their phone. If anybody ever needed to take their own advice...

Dax Harwood is a phenomenal professional wrestler who hates star ratings and whose one fatal flaw is that he is desperate for you to think that he is a phenomenal professional wrestler. Dax Harwood wants you to think he wrestles great wrestling matches more than an infant wants milk.

This manifests in his work - more than one FTR match missed its dramatic peak in 2023 - and on Twitter, he is very enthusiastic about putting over his own performances. On the same platform earlier this year, he did a very ill-advised worked shoot angle with the AEW social media team in which he teased a departure to WWE - on the basis that they had "forgotten" to create a graphic putting over his Wrestling Observer Newsletter Award for Best Tag Team of 2022.

Doesn't he hate that rag?!

Dax's priorities are confused, he has created a minor backlash effect after being extravagantly over in 2022, and could do with logging off and realising that he's more than good enough already.
