3. Being Interviewed By WWE.com
While waiting to meet Seth Rollins, I just so happened to get talking to a fellow Brit in line. After we'd both met the champ, an interviewer approached us and asked if we were the two guys he'd spoken to about an interview earlier. I for one was befuddled, and in a strange bit of coincidence, he'd been waiting to speak to two other British guys about coming to SummerSlam. They were nowhere to be found, so he decided to chat to us instead. Over the course of five minutes or so, we were asked where we'd come from, how we'd met in line, and what it was like to met Seth Rollins. I was even asked to hold up my Money in the Bank briefcase and say, "My name is Josh, I'm from Wales, and I came here to meet Seth Rollins!" Whether any of that will be used remains to be seen, but in a very cool video package put together by WWE, I do make a brief appearance (
at around the 2:07 mark if you want to check it out here). It was a great and very unique experience, and both the interviewer - who has been working for the WWE for around 18 months - and the cameraman - a veteran of over 10 years who started off telling his UK based Sky Sports counterpart when to cut to break - were great to speak to and clearly passionate about both the product and their jobs. Whether any of what I said ever makes it into something or remains on the cutting room floor doesn't matter; it was still awesome!
