This was flat out sad to see live in person.

Yours truly attended WrestleMania 33 in Orlando, and sat crestfallen as a childhood hero struggled his way through an unconvincing headliner opposite Roman Reigns. At one point, The Undertaker lost his balance twice during a Tombstone spot, and the massive crowd groaned in collective agony at what they were seeing.

Afterwards, 'Taker himself relented that he let Roman down and was incapable of delivering the kind of main event magic he had around a decade prior. Sure, he was working with Shawn Michaels at 'Mania's XXV and XXVI, but 'The Deadman' still held up his end of the bargain. He just...couldn't in 2017.

This wouldn't be the final clumsy match 'Taker worked before eventually hanging up his boots either. Also, it has been stuffed to the back of fans minds due to that Goldberg calamity in 2019, but those of us who were at 'Mania 33 remember the misery and The Undertaker's red face all too well.
