It was unsurprising that Daniel Bryan - by the far most tenured of his NXT season one colleagues - crafted the most memorable moments from the Nexus' incredible introductory angle on the June 7th 2010 edition of Monday Night Raw.

The former ROH World Champion and king of the independents had put a decade into his craft by the time he was presented for the first time as The Miz' "rookie", and knew exactly how to get over, stay over, and produce the exact type of pro wrestling magic WWE would eventually be forced into acknowledging.

Magic such as the moment captured above; Justin Roberts squealing for his life as Bryan strangles him with his own tie. A moment that, in the aftermath, cost the future WWE Champion his job. A new ruling regarding spots such as this per WWE's deal with Mattel was enough to justify the decision, taking him out of the storyline completely until a SummerSlam return as a wronged babyface later that year.
