10 Astonishing Times Wrestlers Swore On Live TV

9. The Rock

This is great, because the Rock said "motherf*cker" on WWF TV and Stephanie McMahon forgot her lines, which was almost as embarrassing as that time in 2016 when she slipped on the ring steps.

Remember that?

It was great, until you remember than an inanimate object got one over her, where legions of talent did not.

Anyway, this was a quintessentially 2001 WWF segment; the serious business was in decline, but the comedy writing was stupendous. Well, Brian Gerwitz's Rock material was advanced, and absurd, but Chris Jericho's misogyny has aged terribly. This back-and-forth banter quickly developed into a rhyming contest - Jericho is so much funnier as a belligerent drunk a*shole, Christ - which was supposed to end in Stephanie cutting Rock off. It's hard to explain why Steph missed her cue. Perhaps she was wistfully dreaming of creating the Women's division she always wanted to, if only AJ Lee could hurry up, grow older, and then shame her into it.

But miss it she did: Rock described Booker T and Shane McMahon as the "punk ass sucka and the silver spoon motherf*cker", uninterrupted, a rare F-bomb exploding on WWF TV.
