10 Astonishing Times Wrestlers Swore On Live TV

3. Goldberg

Pay-per-view allowed more leeway than the standards and practises of television, but it wasn't as if you could shower Sunday nights in "f*ck".

Well, you could if you were Vince Russo, and had left yourself with nothing but the most asinine shoot storylines with which to keep your WCW product from hurtling towards death. The events of New Blood Rising were so monumentally f*ck-brained that they are difficult to parse.

In the midst of a Triple Threat match between Goldberg, Kevin Nash, and Scott Steiner, Goldberg refused to "go up" for Nash's powerbomb because, in 2000 WCW, the entire wrestling promotion was this truly bizarre, worked-shoot adaptation of the rancid innards of a dying wrestling promotion.

Scott Steiner, who did go "up" for the powerbomb, was credited for his professionalism. He did "business" the right way, in contrast to Russo, who did business the wrong way, by not making any money. The ratings weren't that bad compared to 1999 bro, dissenting voices from a cave cry out, but look at the state of those pay-per-view buy rates. Bro, they were like powerbombs: they didn't go up!

Anyway, Goldberg quite rightly told Russo to f*ck off, and just look at him trash-talking in that GIF. To Goldberg. Thinking he's hard.

Truly pathetic.
