10 Awesome 90s Wrestling Feuds You Totally Forgot About

10. Doink vs. Crush (1993)

Just as explained in the introduction, this was a match involved a great territory era wrestler (Matt Borne) and a more-than-serviceable big man in Bryan Adams building a feud that blew off at Wrestlemania IX. Doink was played by not just Matt Borne, but "Maniac" Matt Borne, a heel who really knew a thing or two about kicking up the sinister notes a few notches in an angle to really ramp up the heat. The feud between Doink and Crush started because Doink ASSAULTED CRUSH WITH A LOADED PROSTHETIC ARM. It's in capital letters because it's a pretty heinous crime, and when done by a man dressed as a clown, it's a level of surreality more in tune with late 60's acid trip cinema than pro wrestling. Actually everything about Doink from 1992-1993 is amazing, in that there's absolutely no reason why the creepy clown had to be that great, but he really was. The Doink/Crush feud, truly a fun watch, and every word of that is meant in absolutely the most honest way possible.
