9. Steve Austin Vs Rusev

The Rock recently returned to Raw and had a brawl with Rusev, sending the Russian supporter scrambling and popping the crowd big in the process. Despite his limitations in the ring, WWE seems determined to get Rusev over as a main event threat and has sacrificed Mark Henry and the Big Show to the newcomer. If WWE are serious about the Rusev push, Steve Austin could provide the perfect foil to his act. Austin's character certainly wouldn't take too kindly to Rusev's bashing of America and his brawling style could actually drag a good match out of Rusev. You could easily see Steve Austin interrupting one of Lana's long-winded speeches and stunning both Rusev and his manager to a chorus of cheers. Austin has the charisma to pull off some good segments leading up to the match and Rusev could be elevated because of it. However, we sincerely doubt that Austin would come back to work with someone like Rusev. While Rusev may be a main eventer in the future, right now he is a midcard act who is being put over aging stars. Austin is above Rusev's level right now and fans could be disappointed if this is Austin's return angle.
