10 Awesome Ways Wrestlers Got Back At Critics

1. Going ALL IN To Make A Point

Stubbornness goes a long way in wrestling. In this particular case, a lot of creativity and a little hidden cash expedited the journey.

ALL IN was a home run name for a home run show with a home run theme - all, fittingly devised in the Jackson home between Young Bucks brothers Matt and Nick and their Bullet Club accomplice Cody.

Gambling on themselves, the trio set out to sell 10,000 tickets to their supersized independent show simply because Dave Meltzer said they couldn't. It was a wonderful tale of pro wrestling whimsy (though Meltzer's known friendship with the crew has since crowded the full legitimacy of the original Twitter exchange between Cody and The Wrestling Observer chief) set up through the group's well-backed 'Being The Elite' series and paid off by a fan-friendly September 2018 supercard that latterly served as a launching pad for an entire promotion.

For longstanding WWE holdouts The Young Bucks, it was vindication that big pro wrestling could still be booked their way. For Cody, it served as a new legacy to build beyond his familial roots and the middling WWE career he'd had during his younger years. In one night, this became the new narrative - Rhodes had ostensibly pulled off a miracle akin to his Dad defeating Ric Flair.

And all just to prove the industry's most famous dirt sheet writer wrong.
