10 Awesome Wrestlers With Terrible Finishing Moves
9. Umaga (Samoan Spike)
The late Eddie Fatu was not only an extremely talented in-ring performer, but he was also a far cry from his vicious in-ring persona - he was actually a really nice guy - and that makes his 2009 death even harder to take. That said, it's pretty hard to deny that one of his finishing moves was pretty damn terrible. He had a good array of moves available to him - including a Wild Samoan Splash that brought his 350lb frame down on to his opponents from the top turnbuckle - but the Samoan Spike was just lame. It involved performing a high speed thumb thrust to an opponent's throat. Not only should it have been illegal, it's also very dull and unlikely to knock someone out for long enough to be able to pin them. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=h4cx5ANhSZM
