10 Awesome Wrestling Matches Nobody Talks About

4. Chris Benoit Vs. Jeff Jarrett (WCW Starrcade 1999)

Chris Benoit's career is a dirty subject in WWE these days. That's understandable given the personal tragedy which ended his life, but it does mean so many awesome wrestling matches have been shoved by the wayside. Benoit's last Starrcade appearance from 1999 is one such bout and another ladder match enthusiasts will lap up.

This was actually Jeff Jarrett's second match of the show. After beating Dustin Rhodes in a wild brawl earlier, Jarrett then worked with Benoit to great effect. Whereas Starrcade '99 is much better remembered as the end of Bret Hart's full-time wrestling career, the United States Title match between Benoit and Jarrett is far more worthy of discussion.

Put that right by firing up the Network and feasting your eyes on a pair who could (and probably should) have been a key WCW Title feud for the company in 2000. Benoit grew tired of WCW and defected to the WWF just over one month later though, making this a unique little gem from a feud hardly anyone remembers.
