10 Awesome Wrestling Moves WWE Must Bring Back In 2016

9. Black Widow

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hjYRhjepPW4 Staying with the submissions for a moment, the Black Widow submission hold was the finishing move of one AJ Lee, three time Divas Champion and arguably the most revolutionary modern female wrestler in WWE. Lee retired this past April, and as she is married to CM Punk it is unlikely that any of her arsenal is going to be reprised on WWE TV anytime soon. The Black Widow involves wrapping one leg around that of the victim, and the other across their neck. One of the poor fool's arms is pulled backwards, making for a confusing and evidently rather painful predicament for the chump trapped in the move. The complex-looking Octopus Hold should return to WWE TV in 2016. The female performers in WWE have taken a noticeable turn towards the technical in the last six months or so, with longer matches and more focus on wrestling holds as opposed to hair pulling and 'cat fights'. As such, the Black Widow/Octopus Hold will surely make a return next year.

Born in the middle of Wales in the middle of the 1980's, John can't quite remember when he started watching wrestling but he has a terrible feeling that Dino Bravo was involved. Now living in Prague, John spends most of his time trying to work out how Tomohiro Ishii still stands upright. His favourite wrestler of all time is Dean Malenko, but really it is Repo Man. He is the author of 'An Illustrated History of Slavic Misery', the best book about the Slavic people that you haven't yet read. You can get that and others from www.poshlostbooks.com.
