10 Awesome Wrestling PPVs With Only One Bad Match

3. WWE SummerSlam 2002

Big Show Akebono WWE WrestleMania 21
WWE Network

Match: The Undertaker vs. Test.

'Taker's appearance at SummerSlam 2002 was appropriate, because WWE were certainly testing the legend by programming him with such a duff opponent. OK, that was brutal, but no more so than Test vs. 'The Deadman' on an otherwise-amazing card of matches.

Nobody in attendance believed that Test had a hope in hell of winning here, and that meant viewers could watch the bout on mute and still get the same audio. Kurt Angle vs. Rey Mysterio, Edge vs. Eddie Guerrero, RVD vs. Chris Benoit, Triple H vs. Shawn Michaels, Brock Lesnar vs. The Rock - the show had some classics.

The Undertaker vs. Test was an anomaly.

Chris Jericho pulled some confidence out of Ric Flair, and the team of Christian and Lance Storm produced a fun little tag match vs. Booker T and Goldust elsewhere. The only clanger? 'Taker vs. Test. It just didn't fit, or properly prepare the former for challenging Lesnar post-summer.
