8. Goldust & Booker-T
One cannot simply talk about odd couples without mentioning a team containing the man with perhaps the most bizarre mainstream wrestling gimmick of all time – Goldust – who during the latter part of 2002, formed an alliance with five-time WCW world champion and former member of Harlem Heat, Booker T.
Although initially resisting Goldust’s advances – which often ended up costing Booker T matches – Booker agreed to team with the outlandish son of Dusty Rhodes, figuring he could assist him to gain revenge on the nWo after Shawn Michaels literally Super Kicked him out of the group.
The duo is mainly remembered for their humorous segments which highlighted the contrast between Goldust's clownish behaviour and Booker's serious persona – in segments that often consisted of Goldust suggesting something ridiculous, prompting Booker to respond with his trademark: ‘Tell me, you did not just say that!’
Booker and Goldust went on to win the World Tag Team Championship at Armageddon before disbanding on an episode of Raw, following a failed attempt to win back the World Tag Team Titles in a rematch against Lance Storm and William Regal.
