10 Awful Injuries Which Led To Amazing WWE Matches

7. Cesaro Has Two Teeth Pushed Up Into His Gums, Still Finishes Best Match Of The Night - No Mercy '17

Cesaro is a big, strapping lad. His strength and power have been on display many times, especially during his giant swing move.

He's also, however, very tough, as proven at No Mercy 2017 when he experienced an injury to his teeth. They weren't knocked out, oh no. They were knocked in.

Into his gums.

It's an incredibly painful injury, and sorting his choppers out afterwards required stitches, painkillers and a dental surgeon.

During a match with Sheamus against the Shield, Dean Ambrose slingshotted Cesaro into a ringpost. It was so loud that you could actually hear the impact, and blood was immediately visible coming from Cesaro's mouth. He tagged Sheamus in, took a rest in the corner, and, after the ringside doc took a look at his teeth, continued the match.

It ended with several awesome sequences, including Cesaro powerbombing Rollins off the second rope onto Ambrose and a wicked high knee / Dirty Deeds spot from the Shield.

Having Cena vs. Reigns and Lesnar vs. Strowman also on the card, yet this match with Cesaro gutting it out stealing the night, speaks volumes about the tenacity of the Swiss Cyborg, not to mention the other three men who improvised around his injury.
