10 Bad-Ass ECW Gimmicks Wasted On Terrible Wrestlers

8. 911

In ECW, one thing that was held in higher regard than anything else was "extreme". They took it very seriously, and their wrestlers showcased the style prominently. If you couldn't "hang", you were beaten up by the rest of the roster, and the fans booed you mercilessly. 911's job in ECW was simple. If something was going on in the ring that wasn't up to "extreme" par, he would go out to the ring and destroy everyone, hitting vicious chokeslams to everything in sight. The bloodthirsty fans of ECW loved it. He was ECW's version of Standards & Practices, where the company would see something it didn't like, and would get rid of it immediately. His act was really over with the ECW fans, as it should have been... Then they started to have him wrestle. There was a reason the majority of his time with the company was spent coming to the ring and delivering a single move... it was pretty much all he could do. Once he had to do a little more than that, it was pretty much all downhill for him. We've seen "big man" wrestlers have similar gimmicks through the years, but 911 had "extreme" to fight for, which made it stand out.
