10 Bad Habits WWE Must Kick In 2017

1. Pushing The McMahons

The extended McMahon family are the most consistently pushed characters in recent WWE history. At least one of Stephanie, Vince, Shane, and Triple H is always in the spotlight, and while the latter trio are prone to taking lengthy television breaks, they’re always lurking in the shadows. More often than not, the McMahons dominate portions of WWE television, and while this isn’t likely to change anytime soon, it’d certainly help the product.

Triple H became a part-time wrestler several years ago, and while he’s still a decent performer, there’s no need for him to be involved in major WrestleMania stories anymore. Stephanie, meanwhile, regularly puts herself over her Raw employees, and she never gets any comeuppance for it. She’s untouchable, and only seems to detract from WWE’s storylines in 2016.

WWE belongs to the McMahons, and they can ultimately push themselves as strongly as they like. That doesn’t mean they should, however, and their presence is a detriment more often than not. People tune in to see wrestlers, not authority figures.

Shane is a borderline exception on SmackDown, but he still involves himself far too often. His participation in SD’s Survivor Series team and the sight of him going toe-to-toe with guys like Seth Rollins was particularly laughable, and he too could stand to benefit from being reeled-in. It’s hard to imagine the McMahons ever relinquishing their roles, but they’re a demoralising part of the routine now, and their presence grew stale years ago.
