10 Bad WWE Pay-Per-Views One Tweak Away From Excellence

4. Survivor Series 1993

Why it's bad: Steeped in the cartoon era of WWE, it jumps way over the line of acceptable bullsh*t with a chronic Four Doinks encounter that doesn't even feature the man behind the clown mask himself. The Bushwhackers and Men On A Mission go unbeaten against Bam Bam Bigelow, The Headshrinkers and Bastion Booger in an abomination of an encounter. Unfunny, unacceptable and the worst kind of unbelievable, it's astonishing this made it to pay-per-view. Or it would be if it wasn't clearly the sort of thing that made Vince McMahon p*ss himself on paper. He didn't sound as enthused on commentary watching it in execution.

One Tweak: Take it off the f*cking card because it's an inexcusable piece of sh*t.

Away from this atrocity, the show is quite good in spite of itself. A raft of replacement performers up and down the card overachieve, the seeds of the of the Bret/Owen Hart feud are magnificently sewn despite Shawn Michaels' late insertion into the match and an impending feud between Yokozuna and The Undertaker generates a red hot reaction despite the simultaneous reality that Lex Luger's main event dreams had been crushed.
