Foreshadowing his May heel switch and reversion to a desexualised version of his 1995 Hollywood oddball persona, Dustin Runnels stole the WrestleMania pre-show by donning a stunning throwback outfit to participate in the Andre The Giant Memorial Battle Royal.

Whilst half the world basks in the tired light of 1980s nostalgia, Goldust instead used the Orlando sun to shine down on one of the great characters of the 1990s.

Though the gimmick was seemingly abandoned midway through the repackage, 'The Bizarre One' was again magnificent in the role when given reasonable opportunity. His to-camera vignettes taking digs at his former 'Golden Truth' partner were outstanding, though a mini-feud with Bray Wyatt inadvertently humanised the visage before it had a chance to become a genuine threat on Raw's midcard yet again.
