10 Best AEW Finishers

7. The Dark Order's Fatality

The Dark Order - or the Super Smash Bros., let's face it - are or were an exceptional tag team.

Evil Uno is the powerful orchestrator of the heat spot, and if escape is possible from it, Grayson, the super-athlete, can launch an aerial assault from and somehow to anywhere. He is an explosive performer, and they work as well in partnership as they do individually - particularly when Uno reveals himself to be an agile behemoth down the stretch.

Their Fatality is a great name for a finish, but it's also ironic, given that bar a booking masterstroke the act is dead on arrival. It's also, simply, a great finish that looks like death and makes perfect, logical use of their respective talents.

Uno locks the recipient into a position from which a reversal seems impossible. He hooks the arms, and bends them over his back at such a crescent angle that he can also hook their feet. The hold is hermetic. And then, Grayson uses his precision and athleticism to launch into a spectacular flipping cutter.

It looks great, it cannot be countered, and it extracts state-of-the-art excitement from an old school platform.
