10 Best Babyface WWE Champions Of The Last Decade
8. Daniel Bryan (WWE World Heavyweight Champion)
Now, this is a bittersweet one, as the tale of Daniel Bryan's meteoric rise and quick fall is one of the most notable wrestling events in recent memory. The Yes Movement brought Bryan to the company's pinnacle, but an unfortunate injury would cost him the title and eventually his career - for a time at least. However, despite how it ended, Bryan still goes down in history as one of the best babyface champions of the modern era.
It's easy to say that Bryan represents everything WWE rejects. His look is so corporate mould-breaking as he's smaller, scruffier and far less marketable than the Superstars WWE loves to create. But that's what made him connect with the fans and brought him a WrestleMania 30 win.
Seeing Bryan capture the World Heavyweight Championship in a triple threat match with two of the company's biggest stars stood up to other massive moments, such as Eddie Guererro's underdog world title win at No Way Out 2004. It felt like a true changing of the guard, and it's a shame it only lasted 65 days.
His time holding the title was mired with a lacklustre feud against Kane, but even in that short time, he proved the power of getting over with the fans. Let's hope his hypothetical run with AEW finally gives him a lengthy World Title reign.
