10 Best Becky Lynch Tweets

3. Avocado Gate, Part 1

There are various means of turning heel in pro wrestling.

Your ego may swell to gigantic proportions, to such an extent that you deem your old, lame partner dead weight. You might finally snap, after a crushing losing streak, using tricks when your technical skills have deserted you. Or, as is the case with Ronda Rousey, estrange yourself from half of your audience by calling them all a bunch of soy boys.

Particularly wonderful about this tweet is Becky's own invocation of a man's man, with her reference to a badass Johnny Cash record. With this comparison, she puts herself over as a badass manifestation of the masculine ideal - she's more of a 'man' than so many of her male contemporaries, who lack the imagination and the balls to get this over - and she does it without alienating half of the fanbase.

That's working.
