10 Best Big Man/Little Man WWE Tag Teams
4. Batista & Rey Mysterio
After the untimely death of Eddie Guerrero, Batista and Rey Mysterio bonded through their grief. This would translate to the screen when WWE put the two men together as a tag team on SmackDown. First uniting to take on Raw invaders Kane and the Big Show, they went on to win the WWE Tag Team Championships from MNM, in a match they both dedicated to ‘Latino Heat’. Their reign was brief, only lasting two weeks, but it was a memorable victory that paid tribute to one of the all-time greats. They both worked very well together and it was a shame that they didn’t enjoy a lengthy title run.
Although they focused on their own careers afterwards, Batista and Mysterio’s friendship continued to be referenced over the years. They finally reunited in 2009 to battle Jeri-Show, but this was simply WWE’s way of reminding us of their friendship just so they could kick-start a bitter feud between the pair – which developed when Batista failed to understand the rules of a Fatal 4-Way match and brutally assaulted his former partner for costing him the World Heavyweight Championship.
