10 Best Body Transformations In UFC History
6. Anthony Johnson (Welterweight To Weightlifter)
Eight years ago, Anthony Johnson took on Charlie Brenneman at a gaunt 170lbs and would devastate the man inside the first round with a vicious kick KO.
That doesn't tell the whole story.
Johnson notoriously struggled with his weight-cutting and even struggled, at a weight class higher, to hit 185lbs consistently. The UFC were sick of his missing of the cut and severed their ties with him in 2012.
Upon his return to the Octagon, settling into a comfortable 205lbs Light Heavyweight division, he KO'd five of his eight opponents and was only defeated by Daniel Cormier.
Johnson would eventually retire and took the decision to add on a decent amount of muscle in his down time. 'Rumble' now weighs in at a frightening 285lbs and would consider returning to the Octagon as a Heavyweight, with current Light Heavyweight champ, Jon Jones, in his sights.
In August 2019, Johnson announced he would be re-entering the USADA testing pool, with a Heavyweight return expected in 2020.
With an increase of 115lbs, when Johnson does decide to return, it may take a few nudges to remind the crowd that this is the same man who they cheered for years earlier.
