10 Best Body Transformations In UFC History
5. Darren Till (New Kid To Gorilla)
When Darren Till burst onto the scene in 2018 with his bettering of Stephen 'Wonderboy' Thompson at a UFC Fight Night event in his home city of Liverpool, the stage was set for him to eviscerate the Welterweight division.
Dana White had something bigger in mind for the gorilla - literally.
After Till lost his title shot against Welterweight Champion Tyrone Woodley and his follow up fight with Jorge Masvidal, he listened to the advice of the man up top and made the decision to jump up to Middleweight.
Till has struggled in the past to make the Welterweight cut and missed weight in that showcase fight in Liverpool, so the move made sense. It meant he would be fighting at a more comfortable weight but also opened up the potential for some powerhouse brawls.
Enter Kelvin Gastelum, fresh off the back of a UFC interim Middleweight Championship loss to Israel Adesanya. A man with a point to prove. They are set to meet at UFC 244 in New York's Madison Square Garden.
Till has put in the work immediately and looks like an absolute beast coming into the fight, shedding the gangly primate to reveal a thuggish gorilla.
This could turn out to be one of the wisest body transformations in UFC history, but will the move up reap rewards for the Scouser?
