It might be hard to fathom for some, considering Brock's current usual match type (relatively short and one-sided with an MMA twist), but he was once tasked with having long and competitive pro wrestling matches on a regular basis. Often would Brock and his opponent (or opponents) be asked to go twelve, fifteen or twenty minutes on television and especially on pay-per-view.

And Brock, super athlete that he is, could do it with a smile on his face. But there's a world of difference between going fifteen with, say, Big Evil era Undertaker or Big Show and going one whole hour with a well-conditioned cardio freak like Kurt Angle. On the September 18th, 2003 episode of Smackdown, the Olympic gold medalist and the NCAA Division 1 Heavyweight Champion went at it in a rare Iron Man match.

While it wasn't perfect and suffered from a few gaps in psychology, it was quite the spectacle, with both Angle and Lesnar giving maximum effort and pulling out all of the stops. It would be trite to recap 60 minutes' worth of action - especially when you can watch it right now on the WWE Network - but Lesnar managed to hang on long enough to win the match 5-4.

Props to both for doing it while injured, too.
