This one is a bit of a longshot and it's only included because WWE likes to have those giving induction speeches be tied to the current product, and there’s no one more visible than the man who will presumably head into WrestleMania 33's main event as the Universal champion.

While Goldberg and DDP might not be the closest of friends, their success does run a bit parallel to one another. Both men – along with Sting - were among WCW’s three biggest babyface stars during the nWo period and were red hot right around the same time. They played key roles for the promotion serving on the front lines during the Monday Night War and if it weren’t for them it’s possible WCW would have folded sooner.

In addition to that, DDP gave Goldberg what was indisputably his best match ever, and the bout at Halloween Havoc was easily one of Page’s finest as well. While that might not be much reason to have Goldberg induct Dallas, it’s a more legitimate connection than the one New Day had with The Fabulous Freebirds, so it’s definitely possible.
