Yes, the "Ole!" chant was already popular to chant at sporting events (specifically football/soccer games) long before it ever made its way to WWE, but it was the night after WrestleMania 29 that it officially made its Raw debut.

It was during the infamous match between Randy Orton and Sheamus that tired the crowd to the point where they decided to entertain themselves by any means possible.

From Justin Roberts to Mike Chioda to Michael Cole, no one was off limits for the crazy crowd to chant for, and eventually, a wave commenced as well as the extremely addictive "Ole!" chant.

In wrestling, the chant belonged to the former El Generico, though it's unknown whether they were chanting it for the newly rechristened Sami Zayn or simply because they were bored.

The chant was finally put to good use this year when Zayn appeared before the live crowd on the post-WrestleMania Raw, and he was among the most over individual on the entire show.

They also might have started a new fad as well in singing along with Zayn's amazing entrance theme. Every crowd since then has followed suit.
