10 Best Cruiserweight Wrestlers In The World Today

The best in the sport under 205 pounds.

Fans of junior heavyweight wrestling are ecstatic with the news that the WWE Network is airing the Global Cruiserweight Series this summer. It's been a while since the company has featured any sort of cruiserweight division, but this show - a 32-man tournament featuring talent weighing 205 pounds and under from within and outside of WWE - looks like a very compelling return to the style. Still, where WWE has been marginalizing cruiserweights and forgetting their potential, other companies around the globe have always been embracing the talents of smaller wrestlers. In Mexico and Japan, junior heavyweights have long competed for championships geared toward their weight classes, while on the American and British independent scenes, companies are often built around smaller, more athletic stars. WWE's renewed interest in the wrestling form is refreshing, but they're still late to the party. Here's a list of the top ten cruiserweights in the world - the men who have already spent years showing that size really doesn't matter when it comes to pro-wrestling. A quick note: this list isn't meant to predict who's going to be in the Global Cruiserweight Series, or who might join WWE if the company reactivates the division. Many of these wrestlers are under contracts to other organizations and wouldn't legally be able to take part in the show or anything WWE-related. This is simply a list of the ten best wrestlers in the world under 205 pounds...
