The first three months of 2012 were extremely successful for Daniel Bryan. He was the reigning World Heavyweight Champion, he retained his title at the Royal Rumble in a cage match against the big behemoths, Big Show and Mark Henry, he even retained the title in an Elimination Chamber match! On top of that, he also had a lovely girlfriend in AJ Lee. But all of that success and happiness would come crashing down on the grandest stage of them all, Wrestlemania 28... in about 18 seconds. Bryan was facing that year's Royal Rumble winner Sheamus in the opening match. By this point, Bryan was slowly transitioning into a heel, displaying arrogant traits and also avoiding requiting AJ's growing love for him. Still, she accompanied him to ringside as he faced the Irish superstar. The bell rang and the cocky champion signalled AJ to give him a kiss. He signalled AJ, It was Bryan. Taking his head out of the game for a few seconds allowed Sheamus to capitalise and Brogue Kick his face off for the victory in 18 seconds!
