4. Hardcore Heaven 1997
WWEFollowing their PPV debut (more on that later) ECW floundered a little in the PPV market for a few months before producing this chaotically fun offering. Raven had left for WCW by this point, leaving Tommy Dreamer to feud with an incoming Jerry 'The King' Lawler and a bunch of WWE invaders. Vince saw ECW as a potential pool of talent for his own promotion and agreed to help them out, with ECW mainstays appearing on Monday Night Raw at the time and this feud between ECW die hard Dreamer and Jerry Lawler in a brilliant outspoken nasty heel turn. Lawler knew how to push the crowd's buttons and his battles with Dreamer were reminiscent of his Memphis brawls with Andy Kaufman decades earlier. In addition, turncoats Rob Van Dam and Sabu both had a fight on their hands, Sabu defending his title against Douglas and Funk in a now legendary three way dance and Van Dam in a vastly underrated clash with the supremely talented Al Snow.
