10 Best European Wrestlers In WWE History

1. Andre The Giant

The wrestling history books have, rather unfairly, tended to depict Andre the Giant as someone who was merely body-slammed by Hulk Hogan, instead of (more accurately) someone who played a defining role in WWE's Golden Age during the 1980s.

Hailing from a small rural town in France, Andre was, on paper, an unlikely WWE star, but his colossal size made him an attraction too great for Vince McMahon and co. to ignore. Andre was (and still is) one of professional wrestling's most recognisable figures, and one of only a handful to court mainstream appeal away from the ring. He could easily make a top 10 list for the industry as a whole, and it's no surprise that he's still, far and away, WWE's number one European wrestler.
