8. Kota Ibushi
Kota Ibushi took the Cruiserweight Classic by storm earlier this year, entering the tournament with a tonne of hype behind him which he proved was completely justified with incredible matches against T.J. Perkins, Brian Kendrick and Cedric Alexander.
His Phoenix Splash is the best in the business and his Golden Triangle Moonsault is a thing of beauty. As well as being able to perform some of the most death defying flippy moves in the business though, Ibushi is also one of the best wrestlers on the planet, as those who saw his work in NJPW will attest to.
It'll be interesting to see what 2017 holds for Ibushi. He's currently freelancing and making occasional appearances for NXT but many are hoping a return to New Japan is on the cards to feud with Kenny Omega.
