10 Best Foreign Heels In WWE History

5. Kamala

A fine example of a character best left in the past, 'The Ugandan Giant' Kamala was a cannibalistic headhunter from the jungles of Africa. Clutching a spear and charging down to the ring in little more than a leopard-skin loincloth and white face-paint, Kamala was a 6’7”, 380lbs mammoth, whose mere presence struck fear into all who stood before him.

Children were often seen scampering to hide behind their parents upon Kamala’s appearance. Flanked by his handler Kim Chee, and communicating only in grunts and yelps, Kamala was a nightmare-ish wrestler throughout the 1980s and 90s. The character is far, far too heavily influenced by negative African stereotypes to be anything other than a rank disaster in the modern era, but for the time and place, Kamala was perfect.

Wild, unhinged, and out of control, Kamala was so dangerous that he needed a handler AND manager to restrain him. He produced memorable matches with the likes of Shawn Michaels, Hulk Hogan, and The Undertaker throughout a career spanning four decades, and his legacy lives-on despite never capturing a major WWE championship.
