It's fun to look back on this match and wonder if they knew at the time that it would be a game-changer, because you can't really plan stunts like those and not expect people to talk about it, can you? Nonetheless, the Tag Team Championship Ladder match between teams Edge and Christian, Matt and Jeff Hardy and champs Bubba Ray and D-Von Dudley was exactly that... and so much more.

Essentially a precursor to the TLC concept, this match marked the beginning of a new era of tag team wrestling - one that could be almost as hardcore (or more) than singles competition and every bit as must-see. From Christian's dive off the ladder to Edge's mid-air Spear to Jeff Hardy (a sign of things to come the following year), it was full of death-defying stunts that very much inspired the Ladder Match theatrics that continue to this day.

A shining light in a WrestleMania that was buried under its own dullness, it broke tables, bodies and a lot of glass ceilings - ushering in a new era that would take the tag team division to even greater heights. This was just the beginning... and what a memorable one it was.
