WrestleMania 21 was an event in which the undercard vastly outshone anything that the two main event matches could offer, as The Undertaker's showdown with Randy Orton exceeded expectations and Shawn Michaels' wrestling classic with Kurt Angle just outright stole the show. And then there was the first ever Money In The Bank Ladder Match - a revolutionary concept that would single-handedly change the face of the Ladder match forever.

There's so much to say about this match that it's hard to know where to begin. But let's start with this: It was incredibly well-booked.

Kane played his role as the monster to perfection, becoming an early target of the onslaught from the other superstars, while always-exceptional talents like Chris Jericho and Shelton Benjamin livened things up both in the ring and out of it. And the strangely beautiful melee - which involved a stunning sequence of dives from Benjamin, Christian and, yes, even Kane - allowed for Edge to officially earn his 'Ultimate Opportunist' moniker by becoming the first Mr. Money In The Bank.

The level of talent involved here - and the storytelling throughout - made it an instant classic. Furthermore, it introduced fans to a new stipulation, one that has since become part of WWE's very fabric - and even though the vast majority of them have been highly enjoyable affairs, none have recreated the sheer magic of the original.
