10 Best Irish Wrestlers Ever

8. Velvet McIntyre

Our only diva on the list. Any female who can boast both world women€™s and world women€™s tag team championship reigns is deserving of a place on this list. Famously feuding with the Fabulous Moolah, McIntyre made an appearance at the massive WrestleMania II, losing to her rival in front of 9,000 fans. McIntyre would have her revenge on the WWE€™s tour of Australia where she defeated Moolah to gain her one and only women€™s championship. While maybe not seen in the same light as a Trish Stratus or Sherri Martel, the Irish born diva was well respected within the industry. Fabulous Moolah would call her €œthe best wrestler in Canada€ and her near 20 year career is a testament to just how good she really was.

As a pretty nerdy guy, I've loved film and television since I was a wee lad. Growing up in Ireland, The Den was the show to watch with it playing Batman The Animated Series, Star Trek: The Next Generation and everything in between. I have an MA in Radio and Television Production and have written for various sites, hope you enjoy my articles/lists for What Culture!
