Two months on from the Rumble, and Owens found himself making his WrestleMania debut - a huge milestone for any WWE superstar. KO opened the show as part of a chaotic, wildly entertaining ladder match for his Intercontinental Championship (which he won back on the February 15th edition of Raw).

Alongside Zayn, Owens stole the show, dishing out and receiving punishment in abundance. KO was eventually taken out of the bout by Sami, after a vicious suplex directly onto a collapsed ladder (which Owens sold by remaining motionless for the remainder of the contest). Eventually, Zack Ryder scored the underdog victory to a huge pop, although he lost the title the very next night on Raw.

Meanwhile, Owens resumed his bitter feud with Zayn, although neither man was able to capture the Intercontinental title in an excellent fatal four-way match at Extreme Rules. Thankfully, they would clash in far more direct fashion a couple of months down the line, with explosive consequences...
