9. "Stunning" Steve Austin Vs. Randy Savage - WCW Saturday Night 1995
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Gj0JxwNrbbk By 1995, Steve Austin was as great as Randy Savage was in 1985. He was brash, cocky, arrogant and similar to Savage, just waiting for the rocket to be attached to his career so that it could hit the next level. Thus, when Savage wrestled Austin on May 27, 1995's edition of WCW Saturday Night, it was one of those moments when two great ships pass in the night. WCW in 1995 was on the cusp of the Nitro era and really taking off, so things weren't exactly industry-changing there as yet. This is one that's worth tracking down just to watch Randy Savage looking at a carbon copy of himself and turning his level of work up a notch. The best matches of a career are oftentimes not the ones at a pay-per-view or when the biggest money is on the line. Sometimes they're just at a soundstage at Universal Studios having a TV match against someone preparing to become one of the biggest drawing attractions in the history of the industry.
