5. Randy Savage Vs. Ric Flair - WWF Championship (WrestleMania VIII)
WrestleMania VIII's main event split of Hulk Hogan and Ric Flair allowed for this "smart" fan's dream match to occur. There are those who would happily tell you that from a wrestling fan standpoint that Randy Savage was ten times the star that Hulk Hogan ever was, Hogan's outside-of-wrestling appeal allowing making the difference in the overall popularity between the two. The feud between Savage and Flair centering around Flair stating that he'd dated Elizabeth prior to Savage and Liz's marriage made for entertaining television, but it was the match itself that truly interested those in attendance. These two tell a terrific story using their established offense as the points of interest, weaving offense and selling between the obvious highspots. One of the finer moments in WrestleMania history, it's certainly eclipsed by another match (or two) on this list.
