10 Best Matches AEW Still Haven't Booked

6. MJF Vs. Orange Cassidy

MJF would despise Orange Cassidy, but brilliantly, they aren't so different to one another. They are both, in different and compelling ways, naturals.

MJF would eviscerate Cassidy on the mic and, much like aspirational figure Chris Jericho, compare him to us: lazy millennials who blamed the boomers MJF is in spirit on their multifariously cursed generational woes.

The match would be awesome, too.

Cassidy is just as if not more technically proficient than MJF is in the classical sense; he just doesn't really think it's that big of a deal, whereas to MJF, being so naturally great at this is his entire identity as a professional wrestler. His birthright, for which he manipulates and tortures all around him, is something Orange couldn't even be arsed to climb towards at Double Or Nothing's Casino Ladder match.

Were Cassidy to so casually outmanoeuvre MJF on the mat, MJF would go apesh*t, intensifying the tone of a match from comedy to ultra-violence in a way that would feel so much more organic and in-character than the customary calf-graze kick/wild lunging strike/duck bit.
