On the Smackdown before this event, Alberto Del Rio brutally slammed World Heavyweight Champion Sheamus' shoulder with the hood of a fancy car. The champ was injured going into this fight and Del Rio was prepared to target the injury in hopes of locking on his Cross Armbreaker submission.

The match itself was a little basic. Sheamus ran his shoulder into a corner ring post and Del Rio worked on it, as expected. Despite his setbacks Sheamus was still able to overcome the odds and squeak out a win after an Irish Curse Backbreaker was given to Alberto.

Excitement still raged on post-match as Ricardo Rodriguez attacked Sheamus. Del Rio joined in, stomping the champ into a corner. While it looked as if Sheamus was out for good the man who just captured a Money in the Bank briefcase in the opening match, Dolph Ziggler, came to the ring looking to cash-in.

Alberto Del Rio interrupted the attempted match and took a shot via briefcase for his troubles. This gave Sheamus enough time to regroup and give Ziggler a Brogue Kick to halt the cash-in once and for all.

The match between Sheamus and Del Rio is a fine 14 minute bout but watch the post match stuff with it to truly enjoy all of the drama fully.
