Yes, we’ve seen it before, but if we're being honest, it’s been pretty damn good. John Cena and Brock Lesnar just work really well together. Lesnar is able to bring out an intensity in Cena that no one else can. Likewise, Cena brings the fight to The Beast like few others are able to. They’ve delivered two great singles matches in recent years, and enough time has passed since their last showdown that another round could still be exciting.

With Roman Reigns suspension, that may further delay plans to have him take over as the face of the company. Cena is still that man, and will likely be for the next few years. That means he gets to be in a lot of top matches, despite how many people may be tired of it. It's how the business goes.

With the former Shield members likely to battle each other in one shape or form the rest of the summer, that could leave Cena needing a big opponent for SummerSlam. To add some extra intrigue, they could build it as “one final time” and let them end their rivalry with one last hellacious match. Cena may not be everyone’s top choice to battle Lesnar, but he really isn’t a bad choice at all.

As Rust Cohle from True Detective said "Life's barely long enough to get good at one thing. So be careful what you're good at." Sadly, I can't solve a murder like Rust...or change a tire, or even tie a tie. But I do know all the lyrics to Hulk Hogan's "Real American" theme song and can easily name every Natural Born Thriller from the dying days of WCW. I was once ranked 21st in the United States in Tetris...on the Playstation 3 version...for about a week. Follow along @AndrewSoucek and check out my podcast at wrestlingwithfriends.com
