10 Best Pure Heels In Wrestling Today

3. Bobby Lashley

Bobby Lashley was pushed as a big deal in WWE, but he was in way over his head. He was a bland babyface who received a big push solely because of his body. He didn’t deserve what he was given, and by the time he left, it seemed he’d be best remembered as a failed experiment.

He showed up in TNA for a few brief runs, and again didn’t inspire. But after joining The Beatdown Clan, something clicked. As a monster heel, he finally justified the big pushes he kept being given.

In the ring, Lashley has improved, and so has his mic work. He doesn’t pander, he doesn’t go for laughs, he’s just sounds like a realistic cocky a**hole who backs it up in the ring. He may stumble over his words, but it sure sounds far more natural than WWE's overly scripted dialogue.

Hopefully TNA doesn’t dare think of turning Lashley anytime soon, as they’d be giving up one of the best things they’ve had going in years.

As Rust Cohle from True Detective said "Life's barely long enough to get good at one thing. So be careful what you're good at." Sadly, I can't solve a murder like Rust...or change a tire, or even tie a tie. But I do know all the lyrics to Hulk Hogan's "Real American" theme song and can easily name every Natural Born Thriller from the dying days of WCW. I was once ranked 21st in the United States in Tetris...on the Playstation 3 version...for about a week. Follow along @AndrewSoucek and check out my podcast at wrestlingwithfriends.com
