6. Terry Funk vs. Eddie Guerrero - National Wrestling Alliance - 1989
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zzu756A62hM After having officially returned to in-ring action in the NWA after piledriving Ric Flair onto an announce table after Flair defeated Ricky Steamboat at WrestleWar '89, Terry Funk steps into the ring on television during Flair's convalescence to wrestle yes, that Eddie Guerrero. Of course, given that Terry's father Dory Funk, Sr. broke in multiple generations of Guerreros as wrestlers in the Amarillo, Texas territory of the National Wrestling Alliance, Funk's familiarity with young Eddie's offense is quite high. Eddie plays a terrific punching bag here too, making Funk look like a million bucks and the only man who should be feuding with the World's Heavyweight Champion. Of course, given the legendary arc of Guerrero's career, for his American television debut to be against Terry Funk, it says a lot about what he had already accomplished prior to reaching the mainstream radar, and just how much was expected of him as his career progressed, too.
