Unfortunately this has the same problem as the Hell in a Cell match with Becky. Sasha should have walked away with the championship and didn't, instead losing the belt back to Charlotte for the second time. However, while the Becky match was more athletically impressive, Charlotte and Sasha put on a much more compelling narrative in the Boss' hometown.

The decision for Charlotte to almost take Sasha out of the equation entirely with a pre-match assault was genius, with the stretcher sequence transfixing the Boston crowd who just wanted their hometown hero to defeat the villainous Flair. Despite Sasha's loss, the two put on a masterful fight inside the steel structure, more than earning the distinction of the first ever women's PPV main event. The botch with the table only improves the match, with the visceral impact adding a sense of real pain that's present in all of Sasha's greatest matches.

WWE's insistence on punishing babyfaces in their hometowns mixed with their push for Flair sadly led to the wrong booking decision, as Banks was never more over than she was here and a victory could have cemented her as a babyface superstar for the company. Thankfully, it seems like her momentum as a face will be unstoppable from her Bayley feud, so they still have time to make amends.
